Federal Criminal Appellate Lawyer
The appellate process is very different from a trial, and requires a unique skill set and knowledge base. Even the most successful trial lawyers can find themselves bewildered by the complexity of an appeal. I have devoted my career to developing a comprehensive understanding of the appellate process, which in turn requires a thorough understanding of what takes place at trial. It does not matter whether your case is at the trial or appellate level; I can help prepare for success at both trial and on appeal. Contact me to speak to a highly qualified federal criminal defense appellate lawyer about your case.
Over three decades of federal criminal appellate experience
As a lawyer for the U.S. Department of Justice, I handled over 150 cases on appeal, most of them difficult or novel. Of the cases that were decided, I won 136 and lost 13. I also briefed 14 cases in the Supreme Court for the government. In addition, before I went to the Department of Justice, I briefed a case for a defendant in which the Supreme Court ruled in favor of the defendant. My thorough knowledge of the appellate process and diligence in examining the intricacies of every case have earned me a distinguished reputation among my colleagues. I provide assistance with legal issues, including motion practice, to other lawyers, and I represent clients convicted of federal criminal offenses who wish to appeal their convictions. Should the need arise, I am ready to take your case to the U.S. Supreme Court.
